TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR VILLA BOOKINGS
Booking Procedure – The Clients Responsibilities :
Bookings are accepted only on payment of the “Holiday” deposit, which is a quarter of the total cost of the holiday. The balance is due eight weeks prior to the first day booked. All prices are shown in pounds sterling per week, inclusive of electricity, gas, water, laundry and cleaning charges. Please note that prices listed do not include cost of flights or taxi fares from airport to the house. A “Damage” deposit of £50 sterling is also required with the final balance. A key to the front door of the house will be provided on receipt of the final balance. The “Damage” deposit will be refunded when the key is returned and no damage or loss of items have been incurred to the house.
The minimum length of booking is seven consecutive days and periods of seven days thereafter. We regret that credit cards are not accepted; please pay by cheque. Once the bookings have been accepted and the deposit paid, the client accepts the Terms and Condition stated therein, and become liable for the balance of the rental money other than in the following circumstances :
“If a booking is cancelled before the balance falls due (eight weeks prior to the first day booked) the client ceases to be liable for the balance of the rental and may reclaim the deposit already paid less an administrative charge of £50 sterling save where the Party Leader and the Owners agree to switch the booking on an alternative date within the same season. If the client cannot agree to alternatives offered the administrative charge will still be forfeited and the client will have no further claim against the Owners. However, once the balance of the rental has been paid, cancellation of the booking by the client will result
in the forfeiture of the entire amount paid, unless the client and the Owners can agree a suitable alternative. For this reason, you are strongly advised to take out holiday cancellation insurance, which is available at a modest premium from all leading insurance companies.
Reservations – The Owner’s Responsibilities :-
The Owners will only accept a deposit if they have first ensured that the house has been reserved for the client on the dates agreed and confirmed it in writing to them. The Owners undertake to arrange for the house to be vacant and ready for occupation on the first day of the booking. The Owners will, at their own expense, undertake to advise the various agents in Cyprus of the reservation and, where appropriate, arrange for a hire car/vehicle or taxi to be at Paphos or Larnaca Airport. The cost of making such arrangements will be borne by the Owners. In all cases where the client has problems which prevent him or her using the dates booked the Owners shall do their utmost to arrange an alternative dates and shall only refuse repayment of the rental as outlined above as a last recourse when all else fails. When the house key is returned at the end of the holiday and no damage or loss of items has occurred in the house the Owners will return the £50 “Damage” deposit.
Liability for Injuries/Accidents:-
The owners are not liable for any injuries or accidents incurred by clients while in or on the property. (Please ensure sufficient medical cover is taken out prior to the holiday)
